up So, things with the temp are going well. The OA loves her, and when I told my boss that last night before I left, he laughed and said, "Yea, it's because she doesn't have tattoos." I was subjected to a rant by the OA yesterday at lunch about how awful the NR was, how all she did was goof off, etc. I finally said, "Well, she got my projects done quickly, and I know she was filing all of your charts as soon as you dropped them on her desk. Yes, she did email friends and whatnot, but what else did you expect her to do when she didn't have anything else to do?" She gave me a look, and around that time, one of our counselors walked in and was talking to me, and the OA left. Oh darn. I received a call today from the NR. She was supposed to stop by for a couple hours to train the temp and to fill out her pay sheet. She called to ask if she could come tomorrow instead, as she had been evicted from her apartment and was required to leave by today because of what happened over the weekend. And I guess she wasn't sent to jail this weekend..it was EVAC, which my boss said would have seemed like jail. Which makes more sense to me. Anyway, she's been going through a lot this past week. I hope it's enough of a wakeup call, but somehow I doubt it. Now that she isn't working, she can party as much as she wants. Tomorrow is my birthday, and I have the day off. I'm hoping Artboy and I can do lunch before he leaves for work at 2pm, but knowing him, he'll be asleep. Guess we'll see. |
