fast! This week has gone by very fast. I can't believe that it's already Thursday and that after tomorrow, the weekend starts! As I was sitting at my desk yesterday afternoon, staring outside, I realized that work doesn't feel as awful as it was. I think a lot of that has to do with the fact that Jess and I get along really well, and although we don't talk a lot throughout the day, it's always such a pleasure. My time with the OA is limited, and she's given up on complaining about things to me, so I don't have all of that negativity around me 3 days out of the week. It's nice. Things are just more comfortable now. The other frustrations still exist, and i really don't see those things changing any time soon, but they are more palatible now. I'm dog sitting for one of my co-workers who lives a mile away from the office. I absolutely love this dog, and if anything ever happens where she has to give her up, I'll take her in a minute. She is such a good dog--very well behaved and a lot of fun. Not yippy. Loves attention, but doesn't often demand it. Such a friendly dog. And she LOVES Artboy. He stopped by after work on Tuesday for about an hour, and when he came in, she was just so excited to see him. I laughed and told him that she's never THAT excited to see me! I told my co-worker when she called to check in and she said that she doesn't really like men, so she must really like him. Artboy loves her too. It's been nice staying there. I've gone to bed early every night this week except yesterday, so I'm catching up on some much needed sleep. And by early, I am talking like 6:30pm to 7:30pm. On Tuesday night, I woke up from 11p-12:30p, and then went back to sleep. I was beginning to worry that I was getting sick again, because I always tend to sleep a lot just before I get sick, but I think I was just so worn out from the week prior. This weekend, Artboy and I are going to a wine tasting. His sister works for a grocery store, and every year the vendors come together to let department managers try out the products so they'll hopefully bring in their products into their store. The first year we started dating, we were invited and went, and had a great time. They don't just have wine, tho it is mostly wine, and some vendors give out free samples or other swag. We were unable to go last year for some reason, but are free this time! Wednesday is the Dave Matthews Band concert, and I'm SO looking forward to going. This will be my first DMB concert, and I've been wanting to go for many years. I hope Artboy will enjoy it as much as I hope to. He's not a big fan. I found out that Laura loves them as well--I could have gone with her! But we should have a good time. Purchased our airline tickets for DC on Tuesday. It seems more real now. I can't believe we're just 2 months away! I've gotta start playing around with my new camera so I can fully know how to use it in time for my trip. I can't wait. I've been working on putting all of my purchases into Quicken so I can keep track of where my money goes and create a good budget to follow. I'd like to start throwing the extra money I have at the end of the month towards my debt so I can pay it off faster. And perhaps start investing, though I need to learn more about that. Wish they'd taught us these things in school. Sure would have come in handy. Bush wants us to start saving for retirement on our own, which would be all well and good, but I wonder how many people are out there who are like me who don't know the first thing about this kind of stuff. I was hoping that my class would help me, but I'm not sure that it will. It's really basic, and so far, a lot of it is stuff that I did know. We'll see though. I'm amazed that there was an arrest in the JonBenet case. I didn't figure we'd ever know what really happened to her. I feel just awful for her parents who were under such a cloud of suspicion. How awful that must feel. I hope this is able to put an end to this once and for all. |
