thunder? I can't tell if it is thundering outside or if that was just a really loud truck. It isn't currently raining, but it has rained in the recent past, so perhaps it is thundering. I'm bummed I missed the rain--I was asleep. So I'm SO glad that the week is over. Work was hell. Our NP was still out with pneumonia, and of course, despite our psychiatrist saying that he was available on Wed and Thurs (holy cow, it just started to pour!), he didn't go out and do a call he was going to. Needless to say, they were PISSED at us. And have been for the last couple weeks because we don't have anyone to go out. Add the stupidity of the other assistant driving me crazy all week, and I'm just extremely grateful that the week is done. I'm missing my best friend something awful. Sunday was a very down day after i dropped her off at the airport. I haven't cried that much in a very long time. Didn't realize how lonely I felt until then. Artboy didn't know what to do, and the next day, he felt like he had let me down. I think it scared him because he couldn't do anything to make me feel any better. I told him he was great and thanked him for being there for me. After I'd fallen asleep, I guess he got out of bed and did his own thing for awhile, and when he came back to bed, I woke up briefly when he put his arms around me and hugged me tight. I didn't say anything, as I didn't want to wake up fully, but it felt nice. One week until DC. Can't believe it's actually going to happen. Guess I'd better check out the weather to see if I'm going to have to take a trip down to storage to get some winter clothes. |
