10/15/06 Stupid fight last night. We were watching a movie that he requested to watch, and then when I was getting something to eat, he changed the channel. In the middle of the movie. I asked him why he changed it, and he said that he'd always wanted to see this movie. And the thought in my head was, "And it's all about you and what you want, right?" but instead, I got my drink and went into the bedroom to finish watching the movie. Next thing I know, he's coming in and angry at me because I left without a word. And I don't respond well and tell him he's gotta be kidding me. It didn't go well from there. After we'd settled down, though, I thought things were semi-better. Neither of us had apologized. But we were goofing around. Apparently, I was wrong. Because when he woke up this morning, he was still pissed. And we had to get ready to go to his grandmother's birthday party. Oh joy. Just what I wanted to do. Meet a bunch more family that I didn't know, feeling horribly uncomfortable anyway...with a man who is pissed at me. But. Here's the kicker. He's not sure why he is angry at me. Which pisses me off. He left to get his grandmother a card, some flowers, and some stuff to bring to the pot luck. I stayed behind and got ready and argued with myself as to whether I should even go. I went. And met some ppl, and sat in a park on a very lovely day. He didn't let me sign his grandma's card. When I asked him about it, he said he put my name on the card. But I felt bad about that. And when his cousin asked to get our picture and asked if we were serious, he didn't say a word. We didn't have time to talk about that before he went to work. I don't even know what to say to that. Am I fooling myself here? ASU played USC last night, and I expected to be blown out of the water. Did not expect to lose by a touchdown and to even have a chance at winning up until the last 4 minutes. |
