Day 4 Not much to report today. Even colder today. I think the temps were around 53, but the wind chill was evil. We hit the Jefferson Memorial, Korean War Memorial, FDR Memorial (which was turned out to be my favorite), and I think that's it. I'll have to do more research on FDR...I was really moved by his memorial, and I love how they did it. I bought a book in the Jefferson Memorial, but I must say that the concept of having gift shops at these memorials bugs me. I suppose the money helps the upkeep of the memorials so I should just hush. Had a rough night plagued with nightmares. Didn't sleep well, so I just turned off the alarm and tried to go back to bed. It didn't happen, but I layed there for awhile. I tried to be in a good mood once we got going, but Artboy was in a funk and I just gave up. My feet are protesting all the walking. I have a bruise on the bottom of each foot, and my legs are sore. I'll be glad to start going to the museums tomorrow. |
