tulips Last night after work, Artboy stopped at the grocery store to pick up some groceries for dinner tonight, and I fell asleep before he got home. Usually, I can hear him come in, but that did not occur last night. I woke up at 4:30am and the tv was still on and he wasn't in bed, and I had a moment of panic--What if something had happened to him on the way home last night? I realized that the bedroom door had been closed sometime while I was asleep and was put to ease. He was home--just playing his game in the office. I fell back asleep, and was stirred awake when he got in to bed about an hour later. When I got up to begin my day, I went to the bathroom, then into the office to grab my clothes. When I stepped into the living room to get dressed, I saw purple tulips in a purple vase on the table. And next to it, a slice of cake that I often get from the grocery store. Awww. How sweet! And now I'm sorry that I was asleep so he missed my reaction. He's been very vocal about his love for me lately. More than usual. I wonder what is up with that? |
