and she's leaving Dr Ass' assistant came into my office first thing this morning to tell me that her old job had called her and told her that they had created this new position and offerred it to her. She said she thought about it and she just couldn't turn it down. I don't blame her a bit...this job isn't at all what he had proposed to her--not at all what she thought it would be. And she doesn't really want to be a personal assistant--which is alot of the things that he has asked her to do. For example, while he is gone on his world tour, he has made her go to his house, start all of his cars, pick up his mail, and he has requested that she take one of the cars into be serviced because the check engine light came on--she's not doing it though because it's a stick and she doesn't know how to drive stick. He makes her and Jess drive him and pick him up from the airport and refuses to pay for gas. And when he moved, they had to make all of the arrangements with the movers and the switching of the all the services. He asked her to have a picture framed...and it goes on and on. She also said that the private monitoring was a mess--that Dr Ass doesn't know what patients he is monitoring and that he never looks at the urine drug screens. They have this new contract and she can see that it's going to be a mess, and when the board comes down and starts asking questions, he's going to blame it all on her--which I totally see him doing. So...she's moving on. And I'm so bummed. She has been so wonderful and we have all had so much fun together. She told me that Jess and I were often times the only bright spot in her day and that she is going to miss us. That we were so great to her and that if it weren't for us, she would have left after the first few weeks. I'm happy for her...she's going to get her retirement package back, her health insurance back, and she loved the women that she worked with over there. She said that she didn't have to work that much longer there before she'd get full retirement. And most of all, she won't have to work for Dr Ass any more. I told her I didn't know how she did it as long as she had and that if it had been me, I would have left long ago. She said that made her feel better--that it wasn't just her. I told her that no, it definitely was not just her. That he's a difficult person to work for. Now...if only we don't have the former other assistant come back. I have a feeling that she'll be here at least for awhile since she knows the job and he won't have much time to find someone when he comes back. WHen I spoke about it with my boss he said that he was going to have to remind Dr Ass about how peaceful and more relaxed things had been with her gone. Please, don't let her come back permanently. I'm not even sure if she'd come back. I hope she won't. |
