toxic

I am so furious with what is going on here at work. For some idiotic reason, Dr Ass decided that it would be a great idea to bring in his former assistant for training. I missed out on the first day she was here--I took a personal day (and man, I'm so glad I did because if I had to deal with her that day, I don't think that things would have gone well), but from what I hear, there were fireworks. She called Jess arrogant and went off on her at the end of the day. My boss said he was about ready to throttle her.

Jess left me a voice mail and let me know what happened, so of course I worried all night long that I would come in the next day, she would be there, and shit would go down.

Fortunately, she wasn't here yesterday. But she was to be here today and Friday. And of course, I worried about it all night last night. Planned what I would say if she said this or that. Tried to prepare myself. And dreaded coming in today like you wouldn't believe. Held back tears as I pulled into the parking lot.

And then she wasn't here. We decided she must be coming in after her dr's appointment. I told my boss I worried about it all night. And told him again, as I had the day before, that I have stuffed so much of the crap that this woman has dealt that I'm afraid I may explode. He told me I shouldn't write the ending before the book has even started, and I told him that I knew...but that I just know how things are going to go down. She is a mean, nasty person and she doesn't handle not knowing everything that is going on. She was awful to Chris because she felt threatened by all of the information Chris had that she didn't. And she's already shown her colors. It doesn't take a brilliant person to know what's going to happen.

And sure enough--she hadn't been here that long when I started hearing raised voices. And just when I was about to get up and investigate, the bitch left and Jess came back and was just furious.

Jess has spoken to Dr Ass, his partner, and my boss. The end result of those conversations being that she was going to come for 3 days and that was it. Which pissed me off--how can the continuously let this person come into this office and behave in that manner? She did it with me. She did it with our former assistant. She did it to Chris. And now she's doing it to Jessica. How many times does this have to occur before they realize that she is the one with the problem and they don't let this continue to happen? She is disruptive. We've spent the last 3 hours discussing it, not getting any work done. How long does this have to go on before we stop rewarding her behavior by letting her come back??
